What Is This?

Tremendous Tales is a bi-monthly ‘zine that features the microfiction and illustrations of Christopher Olson.
In Tremendous Tales, author Christopher Olson takes the reader on brief excursions into the speculative, the fantastic, and the absurd.
Microfiction is prose that contains all the elements of a piece of fiction (beginning, middle, end, plot, characters, etc) but with as much brevity as possible.
In some stories, Mr. Olson throws the reader into the middle, gives a quick look, and leaves him or her to infer the beginning and guess the end. Other tales are epic novels told in 36-words or less.
The illustrations compliment the microfiction. They are a foretaste of the coming story or a punchline or a ridiculous take on the plot.
Tremendous Tales take the reader into alternate realities where the strange and fantastic rule and the bizarre is celebrated for its sheer stupidity.
The 28-page, 8.5″x5.25″, full-colour ‘zine is published in Montreal by Maison Kasini.
The ‘zine is available by subscription or by purchasing single issues.
